Pink and brown tissue linen powerloom saree

Several days ago or months ago as i try to recollect those memories stored in a non-conspicuous part of my otherwise foggy memory my father came in and asked me if I needed something for my 17th birthday almost about the time when I was about to leave my house for the first time to go to Chennai for engineering. But he also said I had to give something back to him. I thought for a moment and said I needed a pearl necklace. He casually said but you have to give up the older one. Hesitatingly I handed out my favorite necklace of those shiny off-white pearls I had bought from a flea market. And in his hands was a red-velvet box and inside were real genuine pearls. He had it all along just waiting for me to give up my plastic ones so that I could get back a necklace of real pearls. He told me that sometimes we attach ourselves to so many things that we do not leave room for better things to come in. He told me to let go off my past so that a better future could usher itself in. He said "Let go of who you were to be who you can be. And a father would wish nothing less for his favorite daughter". That lesson still stays with me.
