During the rains Aita would dress us up in the flamboyant hand-woven ‘ege gasor' (a two-piece traditional attire) to dance Gumrag with the other Mishing women in the village. At one end we would find a couple of my aunts busy making pithaa laaru kaata-nimki and at the other end we would see my mother and aunts busy cooking for the feast.
This white cotton checked mekhela chador is a stunner.
*Mekhela chador is pre-stitched and is ready to wear.
